We did a valley ride Monday, but first we started up the road that leads to the church we visited by fenicular the day before. We didn‘t head out for a steep climb, so after a wonderful look at the old aquaduct system we cruised back for a valley ride. Lots of other bikers out on their racing bikes cruising by like we‘re standing still. Idylic typical Umbrian area with lots of farms, very old buildings, some that are huge old mansions, others fixed up by rich seasonal visitors.
The weather broke enough the next day that we decided to hike a nearby hill. 13 k up and over for some great views and even had a look at the fresh snow on the mountains behind us!
Dinner last night at a small bar overlooking the town while watching the sunset.
Off to Citta di Castello via the mountainous route today!
