ALBEROBELLO

Classic small Italian town, this one being built in ‘truli‘ style which is roofs made in conical style of rock using no mortar. We have rented one for two nights as it‘s expected to rain.
Touristy as hell, but so classic it‘s almost comical. We arrived on a busy sunny afternoon when the cruise ship tour was in, with japanese tourists snapping pics of us with our loaded bikes motoring up 20% inclines looking for our suggested B&B (thanks B!)
Now that the tourists have left and the shop owners know who we are (not mant spend two nights) it‘s much more pleasant.
We did a 17 k walk today on an aquaduct created during the ‘fascist‘ period just before WWII. Nice to be out on a nature walk with lots of birds and moving slow. When we packed our sandals we envisioned a stroll to the beach, not a 17k hike!
Our feet feel better now after a nice bottle of Prosecco!
