LAST NIGHT IN VENICE

Bikes are loaded in the van, our carry on is mostly packed, we'll be up early for breakfast and then we‘re on our way.

Tourist day in Venice today boating everywhere with a travel pass. Out to Murino to view the glass works and then walked through Venice being awed by the architecture, with canals filled with cargo, ferrys, ambulance, police, taxi and private boats. Oh, and Gondolas with Operatic Oarsmen. We had lunch by this church with wonderful mosaics and a leaning bell tower. At noon it played so vigorously we expected the thing to topple over!
About halfway through the day we decided we needed to pee, and every bar has a sign saying 'toilets are for customers only' and we didn't really want to pay 6E to pee, so you end up following these signs on the pavement -  that take you to a place where you pay over $2  to empty your bladder. I almost unloaded in to the nearest canal before I noticed several tourists with telephoto lenses on every bridge and figured the last thing I need is to end up on someones blog with my wee-wee hanging out!
Yesterday a pint and a burger with fries, tonight pizza and red house wine. Gotta love this place.
