BOLOGNA Again

Wonderful city and they‘ve done a brilliant job of keeping cars out of the old section of town. There are crowds of people walking and riding through the large piazzas and narrow alleys.
We rode around the city and headed for the Santuary of the Madonna di San Luca. We didn‘t realize it was at the top of a 3 kilometer ride of what had to be 10% grade! We arrived knackered and hamstrings burning on our butts!
Wonderful views and a nice church, but there was a Sunday service so we couldn‘t really roam around too much.
We flew down and carried on a canal path for a while and then just roamed around talking to other foreigners on bikes.
Now we‘re sitting in the hotel room sipping a 6€ 2008 Sicilian Merlot. And I thought they only exported gangsters! Who knew?
