Hurry up and wait should be the title today. Yesterday we checked at the bus station if we could get a bus with our bikes. They said no problem. Be here at 7. We arrive at 7 and they said they won‘ t know til 8.
Okay, we‘re on.
Today they said the ferry loads at 3, so we arrive and they won‘t load us til 4. We‘ve decided buses and ferries are the most undesirable part of this trip. Today‘s overnight ferry has 1 bathroom. The other one is out of order and the third one is in a closed lounge.
One bathroom, male and female.
Sandra is not a happy camper!
Anyhow, off to Italy!
UPDATE
Everything was good on the ferry, about 9 tourists, had a quiet meal around 7, went be about 8:30, stretched out across 3 seats. At 1am about 150 customers arrived, mostly ethnic Albanians and Bulgarians. Lots of noise, screaming, jostling, they kicked Sandra back into my seats, they turned the tv on, the lights etc.
And we thought we were in for quiet night! And now there‘s about 160 people and 2 toilets. Whew! Sandra was Really not a happy camper.
Anyway, arrived at 9, blew past the line with our Canadian passports, and made it to the centre of Brindisi for a coffee and a room.
