The whole group attended a Canadian social at the Paradiso Hotel, after which we had pizza and beers at a local pizzaria. Plenty of laughs as everyone relaxed after such a busy day of competition. Day off today! Ya!

2nd DAY OF RACES
Another great day with every team member in a race today. Today‘s event was a 10k sprint, not one of Sandra‘s favourite's. Again Pat and Sandra proved that they have what it takes to start strong and force all others to chase them down. By the first straight Pat had a 30m lead followed by Sandra, and then the rest of the group. The faster skiers caught up by the 3k mark as expected. Pat held 5th place for most the race and then did a brilliant job of stealing 4th in the last kilometer. Sandra came in an impressive 8th. Both girls have been selected to ski on the Canadian 4 X 5k relay team on Wednesday. Thursday's race will be 30k, which Sandra feels could be her best event. Depends a lot on how she feels after racing the relay.
